Biostatistician (Independent Contractor)

Position Overview
The Biostatistician (Independent Contractor) supports PetraMED's healthcare, correctional health, and public health initiatives by analyzing clinical and research data to generate meaningful insights. This role is responsible for data management, statistical analysis, reporting, and supporting research and quality improvement projects.
Responsibilities
Perform statistical analyses on healthcare and research datasets.
Clean, organize, and validate data for analysis.
Assist in developing statistical models and interpreting results.
Prepare tables, charts, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Support research studies and quality improvement projects.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on data-driven initiatives.
Document analytical methods and ensure reproducibility of analyses.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing a Master's degree) in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related field.
Knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis.
Experience using R, Python, SPSS, or similar statistical software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred
Master's degree in a related field.
Experience working with healthcare or public health datasets.
Familiarity with statistical modeling and data visualization.
Basic knowledge of clinical research or epidemiology.

Compensation
