Accounting Manager

Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for an Accounting Manager to join a contract engagement supporting a major finance transformation initiative to support our global entertainment client in Southern California. This role is ideal for an experienced, detail-oriented accounting specialist who can dig into complex balance sheet activity, strengthen data accuracy, and collaborate across teams in a fast-paced project setting. The position requires a hands-on approach to reconciliation work, general ledger analysis, and financial validation efforts tied to Oracle Cloud. This is a remote contract position with an initial two-month term and the potential for extension.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct in-depth balance sheet reconciliations to confirm account accuracy and identify items requiring correction.
• Compare legacy financial records against Oracle Cloud structures to uncover inconsistencies and drive resolution of mismatched balances.
• Investigate historical accounting activity, trace variances to their source, and clarify issues affecting converted financial data.
• Review account mapping logic and contribute to chart of accounts alignment efforts to support clean reporting results.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, and project stakeholders to help ensure accurate data migration and dependable financial outcomes.
• Prepare reconciliation support, account analysis schedules, and related documentation needed for project review and audit readiness.
• Participate in testing cycles, conversion validation, and post-implementation review work to verify the integrity of accounting data.
• Record findings, outline recommended fixes, and follow through on corrective actions to address outstanding reconciliation matters.
• Manage assigned deliverables against project timelines and maintain steady progress toward key implementation deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience with strong expertise in balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger activity.
• Background serving as an Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or in a comparable accounting leadership role.
• Experience supporting an ERP implementation, financial system conversion, or broader transformation initiative.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, journal entries, month-end close, and account analysis.
• Advanced Excel capabilities, including the ability to work efficiently with large and complex data sets.
• Strong analytical thinking, organization, and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
• Recent Oracle Cloud or Oracle Fusion experience is strongly preferred, especially in areas such as account mapping, data conversion, or chart of accounts design.
