Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support a large PE backed client on the remote basis. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for an accounting specialist who can strengthen financial operations, maintain accurate records, and contribute to timely reporting. The role will focus on core corporate accounting activities, including close processes, reconciliations, and financial statement support in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
• Lead key activities within the monthly close cycle to ensure accurate and timely completion of accounting deliverables.
• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies to resolve outstanding issues promptly.
• Perform bank reconciliations and validate cash-related transactions for completeness and accuracy.
• Support the preparation of internal financial reports by compiling and analyzing accounting data.
• Review accounting records for consistency, compliance, and proper documentation across reporting periods.
• Partner with finance and operational stakeholders to clarify account activity and improve reporting accuracy.
• Proven experience in a senior-level accounting role within a corporate environment. Any experience in the healthcare space a plus but not required.
• Strong working knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger management.
• Hands-on ability to prepare journal entries and complete detailed account reconciliations.
• Experience performing bank reconciliations and identifying variances efficiently.
• Familiarity with financial reporting processes and supporting schedules.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
