We are seeking an experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to join our executive leadership team and lead the company’s marketing, brand, communications, and market positioning strategy.
The Role
The Chief Marketing Officer will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that strengthens Treaty Oak Clean Energy’s market presence and supports the company’s long-term growth objectives.
Working closely with the CEO and executive leadership team, the CMO will shape how the company communicates its value proposition to customers, partners, investors, industry stakeholders, and the broader energy market.
This is a senior leadership position for an executive who combines strategic thinking, strong commercial judgment, brand leadership, and a deep understanding of complex or rapidly evolving markets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead the company’s overall marketing and brand strategy.
Establish clear market positioning and strengthen Treaty Oak Clean Energy’s presence within the clean energy sector.
Partner with executive leadership to align marketing priorities with corporate strategy and growth objectives.
Lead corporate communications, digital marketing, content strategy, public relations, and executive communications.
Develop compelling messaging for customers, partners, investors, and industry stakeholders.
Identify market trends, emerging opportunities, competitive developments, and changing customer needs.
Support business development and commercial teams with market intelligence, positioning, and strategic campaigns.
Build scalable marketing capabilities, processes, and performance measurement frameworks.
Establish and monitor key marketing metrics and provide insights to executive leadership.
Lead, develop, and mentor internal marketing professionals and external agency partners.
Represent the company at relevant industry events, conferences, and strategic engagements.
Ensure consistent brand standards and messaging across all external communications.
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive experience in marketing, corporate strategy, communications, business development, or related leadership roles.
Significant experience leading marketing strategy at the executive, VP, or senior leadership level.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute company-wide marketing and brand strategies.
Strong executive communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience building brands and supporting growth in complex B2B markets.
Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies.
Experience working collaboratively with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
Experience within renewable energy, clean energy, power generation, energy infrastructure, utilities, project development, or related industries is strongly preferred.
