VP of Strategic Finance

Role Description The VP of Strategic Finance is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading KAPITAL’s long-term financial strategy, planning, and performance management. This position oversees the development of financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making, capital allocation, and growth initiatives. The VP of Strategic Finance will manage the preparation and review of financial statements and reporting packages, partnering with executive leadership to interpret results and identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Day-to-day responsibilities include driving budgeting and forecasting cycles, enhancing financial reporting processes, ensuring data accuracy, and improving analytics and dashboards for key stakeholders. The role also collaborates with cross-functional teams on strategic projects, supports investor and board communications, and implements best practices in financial governance and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Finance, with demonstrated experience in senior or leadership roles in strategic or corporate finance.
Expertise in Financial Planning and forecasting, including budgeting, modeling, and scenario analysis.
Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and interpreting Financial Statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Hands-on experience with Financial Reporting, including management reports, KPI dashboards, and board/investor materials.
Advanced Analytical Skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
Experience in remote leadership, managing distributed teams, and collaborating effectively across functions.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and explain complex financial concepts clearly.
Proficiency with modern financial tools and systems (e.g., Excel, BI tools, ERP/accounting platforms).
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (CFA, CPA) is preferred.
Proven track record in high-growth, technology, or fintech environments is highly beneficial.
