Company Description Pioneer Ventures Fund is a newly launched $60 million (420 million RMB) fund based in Shanghai, focused on investing in US and European companies pursuing global expansion in AR/VR, AI, and blockchain technologies. The fund is uniquely positioned as the first in China authorized to deploy RMB capital into USD investments, operating under a special policy approved at the highest levels of government. This structure enables Pioneer Ventures Fund to bridge capital and innovation across continents, supporting cutting-edge technology companies as they scale internationally. Role Description The Director of Product Management is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the product vision and roadmap across Pioneer Ventures Fund’s platforms and internal tools. This role oversees end-to-end product lifecycle management, from discovery and requirements definition to execution, launch, and continuous optimization, in close collaboration with investment, operations, and technology teams. The director will translate business and portfolio needs into clear product strategies, prioritize initiatives, manage product backlogs, and ensure timely delivery of high-impact solutions. Day-to-day work includes conducting market and user research, analyzing product performance, aligning stakeholders, guiding cross-functional teams, and establishing best practices for product processes and metrics. The role also involves mentoring product team members, improving workflows, and contributing to long-term innovation initiatives that support the fund’s global expansion mission.
Qualifications
Strong Product Management and Product Strategy skills, with experience defining vision, roadmap, and requirements for complex products or platforms.
Advanced Analytical Skills, including data-driven decision-making, KPI development, and the ability to synthesize market and user insights.
Proven Team Leadership capabilities, with a track record of mentoring product professionals and collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Robust Project Management skills, including scoping, planning, prioritization, and delivery in fast-paced, distributed environments.
Experience working with technology-driven businesses, ideally in AR/VR, AI, blockchain, fintech, or venture capital–related products.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Comfort working remotely across time zones, with strong organizational skills and a high degree of ownership and accountability.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics) required; advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
