Vice President of Ecosystem Strategy — Digital Assets & Financial Technology
The Vice President of Ecosystem Strategy will lead the development and execution of the company’s ecosystem strategy, with responsibility for building strategic relationships, expanding business networks, developing partnership opportunities, and creating long-term value across the organization’s broader market ecosystem.
Working closely with the CEO, executive leadership team, Product, Business Development, Partnerships, Marketing, Technology, and Operations functions, this executive will identify strategic opportunities, establish ecosystem priorities, and develop initiatives that strengthen the company’s market position and long-term growth.
Core Responsibilities
1. Ecosystem Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute a comprehensive ecosystem strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
Identify emerging market opportunities, strategic sectors, and potential ecosystem partners.
Establish short-term and long-term ecosystem development priorities.
Translate market intelligence into actionable strategic initiatives.
Develop frameworks for measuring ecosystem growth, engagement, and business impact.
2. Strategic Partnerships
Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with strategic partners, technology providers, financial institutions, platforms, and industry organizations.
Lead negotiations and partnership-development initiatives with senior stakeholders.
Develop mutually beneficial partnership models that support business expansion.
Maintain executive-level relationships with key ecosystem participants.
Establish a structured partnership pipeline and engagement process.
3. Market Expansion
Identify opportunities to expand the company’s presence across new markets, customer segments, and business verticals.
Evaluate market dynamics, competitive positioning, and potential strategic opportunities.
Develop market-entry strategies and ecosystem expansion plans.
Coordinate cross-functional resources supporting market expansion initiatives.
Monitor ecosystem developments and adjust strategy based on changing market conditions.
4. Product & Ecosystem Development
Collaborate with Product and Technology leadership to align product strategy with ecosystem requirements.
Identify opportunities for integrations, platform collaborations, and complementary services.
Provide market and partner insights to support product-development priorities.
Develop initiatives designed to increase ecosystem participation and long-term engagement.
Support the launch and scaling of new ecosystem-focused products and services.
5. Institutional & Industry Relationships
Build relationships with institutional clients, financial organizations, technology companies, professional service providers, and industry associations.
Represent the company at industry conferences, executive forums, strategic meetings, and business-development events.
Develop executive-level engagement programs for key ecosystem stakeholders.
Monitor industry developments and maintain a strong understanding of market trends.
Strengthen the company’s professional reputation and strategic network.
6. Strategic Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
Monitor competitors, emerging business models, market trends, and technology developments.
Develop strategic intelligence reports for executive leadership.
Assess potential opportunities, risks, and partnership implications.
Provide recommendations regarding ecosystem positioning and strategic priorities.
Establish a continuous market-intelligence process supporting corporate strategy.
7. Cross-Functional Leadership
Coordinate ecosystem initiatives across Business Development, Product, Technology, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Compliance.
Establish clear ownership, milestones, and performance objectives for strategic initiatives.
Ensure effective communication between internal teams and external partners.
Develop scalable processes for managing strategic relationships.
Promote collaboration and alignment across the organization.
8. Executive Advisory & Leadership
Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on ecosystem development.
Present ecosystem opportunities, partnership strategies, and market intelligence to senior management and the Board.
Develop executive-level reports and strategic recommendations.
Lead a high-performing ecosystem strategy and partnership organization.
Establish long-term organizational capabilities supporting ecosystem growth.
Candidate Profile
15+ years of progressive experience in strategy, business development, partnerships, financial services, technology, fintech, digital assets, or related industries.
Significant experience in strategic partnerships, ecosystem development, corporate strategy, or market expansion.
Proven ability to build and manage relationships with senior executives and institutional stakeholders.
Strong understanding of financial technology, digital-asset infrastructure, technology platforms, and emerging financial markets.
Demonstrated experience developing and executing complex multi-party strategic initiatives.
Strong commercial, analytical, negotiation, and strategic-planning capabilities.
Experience working across international or cross-border markets preferred.
Excellent executive communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Technology, or a related field required; MBA or equivalent advanced qualification preferred.
