Role Description The Cashier role is a full-time, on-site position based at the college campus in Bengaluru. The Cashier will handle daily fee collection, issue receipts, and maintain accurate records of financial transactions in accordance with institutional policies. Responsibilities include reconciling cash and bank deposits, preparing basic financial summaries, and coordinating with the accounts and administration teams for smooth fee management. The Cashier will also respond to student and parent inquiries related to payments, ensure secure handling of funds, and support periodic audits and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong numerical aptitude and basic accounting skills, including experience with cash handling and transaction recording.
Candidates should possess proficiency in computer usage, with working knowledge of MS Office, spreadsheets, and basic financial or billing software.
Candidates should possess clear communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with students, parents, and staff.
Candidates should possess attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and the ability to follow established financial procedures.
Candidates should possess strong organizational and time management skills to manage peak fee collection periods and multiple tasks.
Completion of at least a high school diploma; a certificate or degree in commerce, accounting, or business administration is preferred.
Prior experience in a cashier or accounts assistant role, ideally in an educational or institutional setting, is an advantage.
