Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Manager / Geotechnical Engineering Director to lead geotechnical engineering, technical consultancy, site investigations, and project delivery across building and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead geotechnical investigations, analysis, design, and technical reviews throughout project development and construction.
Manage soil investigations, site assessments, foundation studies, earthworks, excavation, and temporary works.
Review and oversee geotechnical reports, calculations, designs, specifications, and technical submissions.
Provide technical advice on ground conditions, foundation systems, slope stability, excavation, settlement, and geotechnical risks.
Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, contractors, consultants, surveyors, and project teams.
Identify and manage geotechnical risks, site constraints, design changes, and construction issues.
Support authority submissions, technical approvals, construction monitoring, and site inspections.
Monitor project scope, technical quality, programme, costs, and deliverables.
Lead technical meetings and provide engineering solutions and recommendations for complex ground and foundation issues.
Mentor and develop geotechnical engineers and technical team members.
Requirements & Qualifications
Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Professional engineering qualification or registration is preferred.
Proven experience in geotechnical engineering, consultancy, site investigation, foundation design, or a senior technical role.
Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, excavation, retaining systems, slope stability, and ground improvement.
Strong technical, analytical, project management, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in relevant engineering and analysis software, such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, gINT, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
Experience working with clients, contractors, consultants, authorities, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Experience in commercial, residential, infrastructure, mixed-use, or large-scale development projects is preferred.
