Role Description This full-time on-site role, based in Bhopal, involves overseeing the lending portfolio for a designated cluster or state, ensuring quality growth and risk-controlled performance. The Portfolio Manager/Cluster Head/State Head is responsible for driving business expansion, setting and monitoring sales and collection targets, and guiding branch teams to achieve sustainable portfolio growth. Day-to-day activities include analyzing portfolio performance, monitoring delinquency and asset quality, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines. The role requires close coordination with credit, operations, and collections teams, mentoring and developing team members, and improving processes to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. The position also involves market mapping, competitor analysis, and building strong relationships with local stakeholders to support business objectives.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong analytical skills for portfolio performance review, risk assessment, and data-driven decision-making.
Candidates should possess sound knowledge of finance and housing finance operations, including credit underwriting basics and regulatory norms.
Candidates should possess proven portfolio management expertise, including monitoring asset quality, controlling delinquencies, and optimizing portfolio yield.
Candidates should possess familiarity with investments and trading concepts as applied to financial products, market dynamics, and pricing strategies.
Relevant experience (typically 5–10+ years) in housing finance, NBFCs, retail lending, or related financial services, preferably in leadership or regional roles.
Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide branch-level teams.
Ability to work in field-intensive environments, with knowledge of rural and semi-urban markets and customer segments.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred.
