Role Description The NGO Consultant at Wendi will provide strategic guidance to strengthen programs in education, skills development, leadership, and community engagement. This full-time remote role involves assessing existing projects, designing and refining program frameworks, and developing implementation plans aligned with Wendi’s mission and vision. The consultant will support grant writing, proposal development, and donor reporting, and will help identify funding opportunities and partnerships with local and international stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks include conducting research and needs assessments, analyzing program impact, preparing policy briefs and recommendations, and facilitating virtual workshops or training sessions for staff and community partners. The consultant will collaborate closely with Wendi’s leadership and project teams to ensure high-quality, sustainable, and measurable outcomes across all initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience in NGO management and international development, including program design, monitoring and evaluation, and stakeholder engagement.
Proven skills in research, data analysis, and report writing for projects related to education, community development, or leadership initiatives.
Strong capabilities in grant writing, proposal development, and donor relations, with familiarity in fundraising strategies for non-profit organizations.
Ability to provide strategic planning, organizational development, and capacity-building support to teams and community partners.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to produce clear policy briefs, presentations, and training materials.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across cultures and time zones.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Education, or related discipline; advanced degree is an advantage.
Previous experience working with NGOs or non-profit organizations in Africa or similar contexts is highly beneficial.
