Role Description This is a full-time Civil Engineer role based in Chennai with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site project work with some work-from-home flexibility. The Civil Engineer will participate in planning, designing, and reviewing civil engineering projects, including site layouts, infrastructure, and stormwater systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing design drawings and calculations, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and supporting project documentation and approvals. The role involves performing technical assessments, assisting with cost estimates and schedules, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The Civil Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement by proposing practical design enhancements and supporting safe, efficient project execution.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and practical experience applying civil engineering principles.
Competence in Civil Engineering Design, including preparation of drawings, models, and technical calculations.
Skills in Planning and project coordination, with the ability to manage tasks, timelines, and documentation.
Knowledge of Stormwater Management and related drainage design, analysis, and regulatory requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Familiarity with industry-standard design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar) is beneficial.
Ability to communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Capacity to work effectively in a hybrid environment, demonstrating initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.
Understanding of local building codes, safety standards, and environmental considerations relevant to civil projects.
