Role Description This full-time on-site Heating Air Conditioning Technician role is based in Model Town and involves installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting equipment, diagnosing issues, performing troubleshooting, and completing preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance. The technician will handle basic plumbing and electrical connections related to HVAC units, follow safety and EPA guidelines, and maintain accurate service records. This role also involves communicating clearly with customers, explaining work performed, and recommending solutions or upgrades as needed. The technician will collaborate with team members, follow company procedures, and support a professional, customer-focused service experience.
Qualifications
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for HVAC systems, including identifying mechanical and performance issues.
Knowledge of plumbing related to HVAC installations, such as condensate drainage and relevant piping connections.
Experience with preventive maintenance, including cleaning, inspections, filter changes, and system performance checks.
Understanding of EPA regulations and safe handling of refrigerants, with current EPA certification preferred.
Foundational knowledge of electricity, including wiring, circuits, and safe operation of electrical components in HVAC systems.
Prior experience as an HVAC technician or in a related mechanical trade; technical or vocational training in HVAC is beneficial.
Ability to use HVAC tools, diagnostic equipment, and read technical manuals or schematics.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work safely, follow instructions, and complete tasks independently or as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet physical demands of the role, such as lifting equipment and working in various indoor and outdoor environments.
