Content, SEO & GEO Lead
Location: Remote
Compensation: ₦300,000 monthly
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: CEO
About Us
We build a safety technology platform centered on one idea: our product tells the people you trust. We serve seniors and the people who care for them, women navigating personal safety, vulnerable groups, general households, and employers with a duty of care for lone and night-shift workers across multiple products, in English and Dutch today, with German, French, and Spanish opening in rotation.
Role Overview
We're looking for a Content, SEO & GEO Marketer to own the single largest engine toward our first 10,000 paying customers roughly half of it. This role spends €0 on ads. Its currency is pages, reviews, citations, and entity consistency, organic search and AI-assistant answers that compound, where everything shipped in month one is still producing in month twenty-four.
The core problem this role exists to solve: our brand name sits in crowded, confusing semantic territory it collides with unrelated content in search and in AI retrieval, and there is currently almost no independent third-party content for an AI engine to cite about us. Until this role builds that corpus -reviews, comparisons, citations, and consistent entity signals - AI assistants cannot reliably recommend us over unrelated results. This compounds against the company every month it isn't fixed, and every other marketing euro spent is diminished by it.
This is a high-volume, high-cadence role: four published pieces a week in month one, rising to ten by month six, tiered across flagship research, core vertical/comparison pages, and programmatic long-tail coverage sustainable because not every piece carries the same weight or the same quality bar.
Key Responsibilities
Own the content engine across all three tiers: flagship research and original data studies, core vertical and comparison pages, and programmatic long-tail coverage
Own technical and on-page SEO: canonicals, hreflang, schema, titles, Core Web Vitals, and internal link architecture, including a live audit backlog
Own GEO and AI visibility: entity consistency, the machine-readable front door (llms.txt), a prompt matrix tracked across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity, and citation rate over time
Own the third-party corpus: review velocity and response across App Store, Google Play, Trustpilot, G2, and Capterra, plus relevant industry roundups and directories
Own localisation across live markets today, with new markets brought to parity as they open
Build landing pages in support of the growth team's paid campaigns
Answer every new review within 24 hours, across all platforms, this is treated as a ranking activity, not admin
Run a full monthly AI-visibility test across all four major AI engines, logging presence, position, accuracy, and sentiment
Deliver a written monthly report to the CEO: rankings movement, organic trials/installs, review count and rating, AI-citation rate, pieces shipped by tier, and what didn't work
Ship a technical SEO fix from the audit backlog every week, verified live not just logged as done
Refresh ageing content regularly; a page that ranks but doesn't convert is a liability, not an asset
Qualifications
Proven experience running a high-cadence content operation, you should be able to describe a real publishing cadence you sustained, not a one-off campaign
Hands-on technical SEO experience: canonicals, hreflang, schema markup, and site audits, with a real fix you've implemented and its measured impact
Experience with AI/GEO visibility - understanding how AI assistants source and cite information, and how to build for it
Experience managing review generation and response across app stores and review platforms
Strong, precise written English; comfortable directing AI-assisted drafting while maintaining a named-author, human-accountable standard
Comfortable with tiered content systems matching effort and quality gates to the purpose of each piece, rather than treating every page the same
Multilingual or multi-market SEO experience strongly preferred
Core Competencies
Systems thinker who can sustain volume without sacrificing quality - understands why thin programmatic content is worse than no content at all
Comfortable owning a compounding, long-horizon metric rather than one that shows results overnight
High attention to accuracy and claims, this role writes for a safety product, where every claim must trace to an approved source, never invented by a model
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment, while maintaining a strict daily and weekly cadence
Comfortable coordinating across a small, cross-functional team (growth, community, leadership) with shared goals
Work Structure
Full-time, remote role, reporting directly to the CEO
Requires daily discipline: a monitoring sweep, review responses, protected deep-work writing time, and something published every working day
This is a content-safety-sensitive role - writing for vulnerable audiences (including people in unsafe domestic situations) requires strict adherence to a documented safety protocol before publishing in that cluster
