Direct Response & Creator Channel Lead
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: ₦300,000 monthly
Reports to: CEO
About Us
We build a safety technology platform centered on one idea: our product tells the people you trust. We're now testing whether the Nigerian market is genuinely open to this product not whether one great salesperson can sell it, but whether it scales.
Role Overview
We're looking for a Direct Response & Creator Channel Lead to own cost per paying subscriber in our direct-to-consumer channel in Lagos. This is the channel that scales, everything else in this market closes on personal relationships that can't be replicated by hiring more people. Yours is the answer to whether this market is actually open to us, or whether one person is simply good at selling it.
You will run geo-fenced paid campaigns, recruit and manage a roster of micro-creators, and operate the WhatsApp funnel end to end, enquiry through to conversion and retention. You decide campaign structure, targeting, and budget allocation within your monthly figure, and which creators to add or drop, without needing sign-off. What you don't own: any of the brand's social accounts, copy, or pricing, you work from an approved asset kit, not from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
Own cost per paying subscriber, reported separately from the institutional sales channel, never blended
Run geo-fenced paid campaigns (Nigeria only), optimizing strictly to paying subscribers never installs or clicks
Recruit, brief, and manage a roster of 10–15 micro-creators across Lagos and Abuja, paid on performance only
Operate the WhatsApp funnel: answer every enquiry within two hours during working hours, follow up on unconverted enquiries, and never store personal data outside approved systems
Run a minimum of two live campaign tests at all times, with at least four creative variants per campaign, refreshed every 14 days
Calculate and report cost per paying subscriber weekly, in writing, with the actual numerator and denominator not an estimate
Track and improve subscriber retention alongside acquisition; a cheap subscriber who churns fast is a loss, not a win
Log every subscriber's source the same day it happens, for clean attribution
Deliver a fortnightly written report directly to the CEO: your number, what moved it, what didn't work, and what's changed on the ground in the market
Deploy only approved creative assets and messaging, no new copy, no new claims, no localized feature promises
What This Role Does Not Own
Any brand-owned social media account, no access, no exceptions
Copy or messaging, all content is deployed from an approved kit; anything new goes through the designated content reviewer
Pricing, no price changes without direct sign-off from leadership
Qualifications
Proven experience running paid acquisition campaigns with a hard focus on cost-per-conversion, not vanity metrics
Experience recruiting, managing, and paying a roster of creators or influencers on a performance basis
Comfortable operating a high-volume, fast-response customer funnel over WhatsApp or a similar messaging channel
Strong attention to numbers, this role reports a real, calculated cost-per-subscriber figure every single week, not an estimate
Based in or familiar with the Lagos market, with an understanding of local creator and social media dynamics
Comfortable working independently with real autonomy over budget and campaign decisions, while maintaining strict reporting discipline
Core Competencies
Systems thinker who treats a falling cost curve as the real measure of success, not raw volume
Disciplined communicator - reports numbers precisely, with the math behind them, not just a summary
High attention to accuracy and claims - this role represents a safety product, where every word matters and nothing is overstated
Self-motivated with genuine ownership instincts - proactively kills what isn't working rather than waiting to be told
Comfortable with a fast, test-and-learn approach: something changes in the campaign every working day
Work Structure
Full-time, based in Lagos
Runs on its own operating cadence, separate from the wider team's schedule
Requires daily discipline: checking campaign performance first thing, answering WhatsApp enquiries fast, and making one deliberate campaign change every working day
This is a content-safety-sensitive role - all messaging must go through an approval process given the product serves people in genuinely vulnerable situations
