About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Information Technology (IT) Specialist to join a professional technology team in Australia. The successful candidate will support IT operations, troubleshoot technical issues, maintain systems and networks, and contribute to the reliability and security of IT infrastructure.
This opportunity is suitable for professionals with strong technical troubleshooting skills and experience supporting users, systems, networks, and business applications.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for hardware, software, systems, and network-related issues.
Diagnose and resolve IT incidents and service requests within agreed timelines.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, servers, applications, and IT equipment.
Monitor IT systems, networks, and infrastructure to support reliable business operations.
Manage user accounts, access permissions, and IT resources.
Assist with software updates, system upgrades, backups, and maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate technical documentation and IT support records.
Follow IT security, data protection, and company technology policies.
Work with internal teams and external technology providers when required.
Identify recurring technical issues and recommend practical improvements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Diploma, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2+ years of relevant IT support or IT infrastructure experience.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Windows operating systems and common business applications.
Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and LAN/WAN.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, cloud platforms, or IT service-management tools is an advantage.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.
