Chief Investment Officer (CIO)

Role Description This part-time remote Chief Investment Officer (CIO) role at Hay Talento Consultora RRHH is responsible for leading the overall investment strategy and decision-making process. The CIO will design, implement, and regularly review investment policies, ensuring they align with organizational objectives and risk parameters. Day-to-day activities include analyzing market trends, evaluating investment opportunities, overseeing portfolio performance, and reallocating assets as needed. The role also involves collaborating with internal stakeholders, preparing concise investment reports, and recommending adjustments based on macroeconomic and sector-specific developments. The CIO will maintain strong governance standards, support compliance with relevant regulations, and contribute to long-term financial planning.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Investment Strategies and Investments, with the ability to design and adapt strategic approaches to changing market conditions.
Proven experience in Investment Management and Portfolio Management, including monitoring performance and optimizing risk–return profiles.
Solid foundation in Finance, with the ability to interpret financial statements, assess valuation metrics, and support data-driven decisions.
Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency with financial modeling, portfolio analytics tools, and risk assessment methodologies.
Experience in overseeing investment governance, compliance, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex investment concepts clearly to non-specialist audiences.
Proven track record in a senior investment leadership role, preferably in asset management, consulting, or institutional investing.
Relevant academic background such as a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA) are advantageous.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and make timely, well-supported decisions.
