Chief Investment Officer (CIO)

Role Description The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Hon Hai (Foxconn) México is a part-time remote role responsible for overseeing the organization’s investment strategy and portfolio performance. The CIO will design and implement long-term investment policies aligned with corporate objectives, risk appetite, and regional business priorities. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial markets, evaluating potential investments, monitoring existing holdings, and preparing regular performance reports for senior leadership. The CIO will collaborate with finance, corporate strategy, and global investment teams to ensure coordinated capital allocation and support major strategic initiatives. This role also involves establishing governance standards, managing external advisors, and continuously refining investment processes to enhance returns and manage risk.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Investment Strategies and Investments to design and execute effective, risk-aware investment plans.
Proven experience in Investment Management and Portfolio Management to oversee, monitor, and optimize diversified portfolios.
Solid background in Finance to interpret financial statements, evaluate market conditions, and support data-driven decisions.
Demonstrated ability to work remotely and part time while maintaining high standards of communication, responsiveness, and accountability.
Experience in corporate or institutional investing, preferably within manufacturing, technology, or related industries.
Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications such as CFA or CAIA are an advantage.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling, risk analysis, and portfolio reporting tools.
Ability to collaborate with senior executives, present complex information clearly, and contribute to long-term strategic planning.
