Role Description The Vice President of Technical Systems is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for overseeing the design, development, and evolution of HealthKois’s technology platforms and systems. This role leads technical strategy, architecture, and implementation across internal tools, data infrastructure, and portfolio-support technologies, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include directing software development initiatives, collaborating with product and investment teams to translate business needs into technical roadmaps, and guiding the integration of cloud-based and AI-enabled systems. The Vice President will build and mentor high-performing technical teams, set engineering best practices, and manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners. The role also involves monitoring system performance, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that technical capabilities support HealthKois’s impact and financial objectives.
Qualifications
Strong Software Development and Product Management skills, with a track record of leading complex technical initiatives and delivering robust products.
Proficiency in Java and C#, with the ability to oversee development across multiple technology stacks and guide technical decision-making.
Deep experience in Cloud Computing, including designing, deploying, and optimizing scalable, secure cloud-based architectures.
Demonstrated experience in technical leadership roles, ideally within healthcare, financial services, or impact-oriented technology environments.
Solid understanding of data security, privacy, compliance, and governance in highly regulated sectors.
Ability to collaborate effectively with investment, product, and operations teams, translating strategic goals into actionable technical plans.
Experience building and managing distributed or remote engineering teams, with strong people-management and mentoring skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
