Role Description- The Legal Associate will support daily legal operations, including assisting with case preparation, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and conducting basic legal research under supervision. This part-time role is hybrid, with core responsibilities performed on-site in Cuttack and some tasks that can be completed from home as agreed. Typical duties include learning how to maintain case files, preparing briefs and summaries, coordinating with clients and other stakeholders, and helping manage deadlines and court schedules. The Legal Associate will also contribute to analyzing legal issues, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that all documentation complies with applicable laws and procedures.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Law and the ability to identify and understand Legal Issues.
Candidates should possess skills or interest in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal paperwork.
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to assess facts, interpret legal information, and support case strategy.
Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and external parties. It is not about competency but rather about persistence, punctuality and consistent dedication.
Relevant academic background such as an LL.B. or equivalent legal qualification; enrollment with or eligibility to enroll in the Bar Council is preferred.
Attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
Ability to manage time effectively in a part-time arrangement and adapt to changing case requirements.
Prior internship or experience in a law firm, chambers, or legal department is an advantage.
