Director of Strategic Execution

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Strategic Execution to oversee the implementation of the company's strategic priorities and ensure that key initiatives translate into measurable business outcomes.
The Director of Strategic Execution will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to develop execution plans, monitor strategic initiatives, coordinate organizational priorities, and identify potential risks or obstacles. This role serves as a critical link between corporate strategy and day-to-day business execution.
Key Responsibilities
Translate corporate strategy and senior leadership priorities into structured execution plans.
Establish timelines, milestones, ownership, deliverables, and performance expectations for strategic initiatives.
Coordinate cross-functional projects involving multiple departments and business units.
Monitor progress toward strategic goals; identify delays, dependencies, and execution risks.
Prepare high-level reports on strategic initiatives, milestones, performance, and key issues.
Collaborate with senior leadership to set priorities and align organizational resources with strategic goals.
Facilitate regular review meetings on strategic initiatives with senior and departmental leadership.
Centrally track and manage major company initiatives and strategic commitments.
Identify operational obstacles that could hinder successful execution and coordinate the implementation of solutions.
Support the development of annual and multi-year strategic operational plans.
Evaluate business performance against strategic goals and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
Coordinate planning activities across operations, finance, sales, marketing, product, customer experience, and other functional areas.
Establish unified project governance mechanisms, accountability standards, and execution processes.
Assist senior leadership in evaluating new strategic opportunities and organizational priorities.
Prepare presentations, business reviews, status reports, and proposals for senior management.
Analyze business performance data to identify trends affecting strategic execution.
Ensure major initiatives remain within established budgets, timelines, and business objectives.
Support organizational change initiatives related to new strategies, operating models, or business priorities.
Establish repeatable processes to enhance strategic accountability and execution discipline.
Build strong working relationships with departmental leaders and key stakeholders across the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Operations, Strategy, or a related field. Possess over 25 years of progressive experience in strategy, business operations, project management, management consulting, or related fields.
Possess over 15 years of experience managing strategic initiatives or cross-functional business projects, with a proven track record of translating strategic goals into actionable execution plans.
Demonstrate exceptional project management, organizational coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Possess experience collaborating with senior executives and cross-functional leadership teams.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of business planning, performance management, and organizational operations.
Possess outstanding written and verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Capable of managing multiple strategic priorities simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery and the achievement of business outcomes.
Demonstrate keen judgment in identifying execution risks and proposing practical, viable solutions.
