Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Product Management to oversee the company's overall product strategy, product planning, product portfolio management, and the development of the product team.
In this role, you will define the product direction based on business objectives, market demands, and customer feedback. You will collaborate closely with engineering, sales, marketing, customer experience, operations, and senior leadership to ensure that the product strategy effectively supports the company's long-term business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Formulate and execute the company's overall product strategy and long-term product roadmap.
Oversee the product portfolio, product roadmap, and the strategic direction of key products.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, the competitive landscape, and industry shifts.
Translate business objectives into clear product goals and development plans.
Establish product priorities, evaluation criteria, and decision-making frameworks.
Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from planning, development, and launch to continuous improvement.
Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to ensure alignment between product planning and development resources.
Partner with sales and marketing teams to support product positioning, go-to-market strategies, and business development.
Work with customer experience and support teams to gather feedback and drive product enhancements.
Establish product performance metrics and reporting systems.
Analyze product performance, user behavior, market feedback, and business data.
Evaluate the performance of existing products and determine directions for optimization, expansion, or adjustment.
Identify new product opportunities, customer needs, and potential market segments.
Lead strategic planning, resource coordination, and execution oversight for major product initiatives.
Manage the budget, resources, and organizational planning for the product management department.
Establish standardized product management processes, guidelines, and methodologies.
Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop the product management team and senior product leaders. Drive effective collaboration between product teams and other business units.
Report on product strategy, product performance, and the progress of key initiatives to the CEO, President, and senior management.
Continuously evaluate the product organization's structure and operational processes, driving necessary optimizations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher; degrees in Business Administration, Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields are preferred.
Over 20 years of experience in product management, product strategy, or related fields.
Over 10 years of experience in senior product management or leading product organizations.
Proven experience in formulating and executing enterprise-level product strategies.
Familiarity with product lifecycle management, product planning, market analysis, and customer requirements management.
Strong capabilities in business analysis, strategic planning, and decision-making.
Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience managing product budgets, resources, and large product teams.
Ability to prioritize products and drive execution within complex business environments.
Strong team leadership and talent development capabilities.
