Medical Science Liaison-Neurology

C2N Diagnostics, a St. Louis based biotechnology company focused on commercializing high-quality in vitro diagnostics for neurodegenerative conditions, is looking for Neurology Medical Science Liaisons (MSL) to join its growing Medical Affairs team. As a clinical and medical expert on the company’s products and therapeutic areas, the MSL will build long-term relationships and establish rapport with clinicians in hospitals, clinics, and academic centers through highly scientific product and disease-state discussions that support or expand current therapeutic concepts and ensure safe and effective utilization of Alzheimer’s Disease diagnostics. These positions likely will report to the VP of Medical Affairs. These are field-based positions and candidates must live in the assigned region (West Coast, Great Lakes, Southwest or MidAtlantic regions).

Duties and Responsibilities
Work within a diverse team to provide educational support to providers, payers, and advocates on clinical tests offered by C2N Diagnostics
Identify and develop relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs)
Develop and maintain a deep knowledge and understanding of Alzheimer’s Disease and blood biomarkers as well as the competitive diagnostic landscape in those areas
Develop relationships with and engage external customers, including healthcare providers, investigators and collaborators, influential providers, KOLs and advisory boards, as appropriate
Attend national and regional medical meetings and symposia as a representative of C2N and engage in discussions with attendees as appropriate; attend scientific sessions and poster presentations, gather information, and summarize findings
Maintain current knowledge of clinical advancements in the relevant scientific space by continuing education through literature review, journal clubs, and conference attendance
Be engaged in and contribute to scheduled business planning meetings and other company meetings, as requested
Contribute to a positive team dynamic of high-energy collaboration and operational excellence
Education and Qualifications
Advanced degree in medical or health sciences (e.g MD/DO, PhD, PharmD)
Minimum 5 years of clinical diagnostic laboratory MSL experience, with expertise in neurology and Alzheimer’s disease preferred
Established relationships with KOLs, and knowledge of institutions focused on neurology and AD preferred
Strong broad-based scientific, diagnostic and pharmaceutical knowledge
Other Requirements
Demonstrated competence with understanding and explaining complex concepts and data sets, and the ability to be seen as a scientific peer while educating broad audiences from KOLs to PCPs
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor information to different audiences appropriately
Ability to work independently and as part of a team within the framework of Medical Affairs
Demonstrated ability to anticipate, organize, plan, and handle multiple priorities, while adapting to the needs of the company and HCPs
Demonstrated acumen to proactively identify opportunities and challenges, willingness to communicate these challenges to leadership while working together to overcome them
Sound computer/technology skills including applications for word processing, producing slide materials, working with spreadsheets, and video conferencing
Travel and Physical Requirements
This position requires approximately 50% travel, including overnight travel, the amount of which will vary based upon the assigned region. In addition to travel within the region, overnight and/or weekend travel outside of the assigned region is required
Ability to sit and stand for up to periods of four (4) hours
Ability to lift up to thirty (30) pounds in an office environment
The potential base pay range for this role is $170,000-$220,000 annually. The actual base salary offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education and experience as well as location. Additionally, bonuses and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, along with a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits including paid time off, 401K plan and medical, dental and vision coverage.
