Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) Lead Consultant with 7+ years of experience in SAP TM implementation, configuration, integration, and support. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in transportation processes and the ability to lead SAP TM solutions across business requirements, design, implementation, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
Lead SAP TM implementation, rollout, enhancement, and support projects.
Gather business requirements and translate them into effective SAP TM solutions.
Configure and customize SAP TM based on business and transportation requirements.
Work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams.
Handle transportation planning, execution, freight management, and settlement processes.
Design and implement SAP TM solutions covering transportation planning and optimization.
Configure areas such as Transportation Cockpit, Freight Orders, Freight Units, Transportation Planning, Carrier Selection, and Freight Settlement.
Work on integration between SAP TM and SAP S/4HANA / ECC and other relevant systems.
Support integration with logistics processes such as SD, MM, LE, and EWM.
Analyze production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide timely solutions.
Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, test scenarios, and user documentation.
Conduct unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, and defect resolution.
Lead workshops, knowledge-transfer sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
Mentor junior SAP TM consultants and provide technical/functional guidance.
Ensure solutions follow SAP best practices and project standards.
Required Skills
7+ years of overall SAP experience, with strong hands-on experience in SAP TM.
Strong knowledge of SAP Transportation Management processes and configuration.
Experience in SAP TM implementation/support projects.
Strong understanding of:
Transportation Planning
Transportation Execution
Freight Order Management
Freight Unit Management
Carrier Selection
Freight Calculation & Settlement
Transportation Cockpit
Charge Management
Good understanding of SAP S/4HANA and SAP TM integration.
Experience working with SAP SD, MM, LE and/or EWM integration.
Strong requirement gathering, solution design, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote working environment.
Experience leading teams or workstreams is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in end-to-end SAP TM implementations.
SAP TM certification is an advantage.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA TM is highly preferred.
Exposure to SAP BTP, APIs, IDocs, web services, or other integration technologies is a plus.
Experience working with global clients and distributed teams is preferred.
