Semiconductor Fab Director / Foundry Operations Lead

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Semiconductor Fab Director / Foundry Operations Lead to lead semiconductor fab operations, manufacturing performance, production planning, quality, yield improvement, operational excellence, and cross-functional execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead overall semiconductor fab and foundry operations, ensuring safe, stable, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing.
Develop and execute fab operational strategies, production plans, capacity planning, and manufacturing priorities.
Drive improvements in yield, throughput, cycle time, equipment utilisation, productivity, and overall fab performance.
Monitor manufacturing, quality, yield, equipment, production, and operational KPIs and implement corrective actions.
Lead process improvement, yield enhancement, defect reduction, cost optimisation, and operational excellence programmes.
Collaborate with process engineering, equipment engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, facilities, EHS, finance, and technology teams.
Drive capacity expansion, production ramp-up, new technology introduction, and manufacturing readiness initiatives.
Establish and optimise fab operating procedures, performance management systems, production controls, and continuous improvement frameworks.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, EHS requirements, manufacturing controls, and operational policies.
Manage fab resources, operational budgets, manpower planning, equipment capacity, and production priorities.
Lead responses to production disruptions, equipment constraints, quality issues, and manufacturing risks.
Support strategic initiatives related to foundry partnerships, customer requirements, technology transfer, and manufacturing scalability.
Lead, mentor, and develop fab operations, manufacturing, and cross-functional technical teams.
Requirements & Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in semiconductor manufacturing, wafer fabrication, foundry operations, fab management, or a related senior operations role.
Strong knowledge of wafer fab operations, semiconductor manufacturing processes, yield management, capacity planning, equipment utilisation, and production control.
Strong understanding of fab KPIs, yield improvement, defect reduction, cycle time, throughput, quality systems, and operational efficiency.
Strong strategic, analytical, operational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing large-scale manufacturing operations and cross-functional technical teams.
Familiarity with MES, manufacturing analytics, SPC, process control systems, automation, and semiconductor manufacturing technologies.
Experience with high-volume manufacturing, advanced process technologies, foundries, or semiconductor production environments is preferred.
Proven track record of delivering measurable improvements in yield, throughput, productivity, capacity, quality, cost efficiency, or fab performance.
