Role Description The Graphic Designer (3 Months Unpaid Internship) will work full time in a remote capacity, contributing to visual communication across AKD’s research, training, and internship initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing graphics for digital and print materials, developing logos and visual assets, and supporting brand identity projects aligned with organizational guidelines. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create visuals for presentations, social media, learning content, and documentation. The role also involves refining typography and layout for clarity and usability, iterating on design feedback, and maintaining consistency across all visual outputs. This internship is structured to provide hands-on experience in a performance-driven, systems-oriented environment and may serve as a foundation for future professional opportunities.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Graphics and Graphic Design, with the ability to create clear, engaging visual content.
Experience or interest in Logo Design and Branding to support consistent visual identity development.
Understanding of Typography and layout principles for digital and print communication.
Proficiency in common design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma or similar) and basic digital asset management.
Ability to follow structured workflows, respond to feedback constructively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with research, training, and operations teams.
Relevant coursework or self-directed learning in design, visual communication, or related fields; a portfolio showcasing previous design work is highly beneficial.
