Finance Specialist

Flexing It is a freelance consulting marketplace that connects freelancers and independent consultants with organisations seeking independent talent.
This is an independent consulting role with Our client, a global NGO, is looking to engage a finance consultant to establish an India-based payment architecture while eliminating dependence on U.S.-issued corporate cards.
Key responsibilities
Payment Architecture
Design an India-based payment operating model for SaaS, technology and online-service vendors.
Reduce/eliminate dependence on U.S.-issued corporate cards.
Evaluate corporate cards, virtual cards and expense-management platforms.
Finance Operations & Process Design
Design end-to-end purchasing, payment, invoice, accounting, reconciliation and reporting workflows.
Develop finance SOPs, purchasing policies and approval matrices.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
Advise on GST, RCM, ITC, TDS/withholding tax and tax treaties.
Ensure FEMA/RBI, foreign-currency accounting and Form 15CA/15CB compliance.
Implementation & Transformation
Evaluate/configure payment and expense platforms.
Migrate subscriptions from U.S. corporate cards.
Test international payments and reimbursement workflows.
Support finance and employee training.
Vendor & Payment Governance
Identify Indian vendors, resellers and intermediaries.
Establish controls for critical-vendor payment continuity.
Develop migration and implementation roadmaps.
