Principal Programmer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Programmer based in United States.
This fully remote role offers the opportunity to lead software and database development for a mission-critical waste data management system supporting a major federal program.
You will take ownership across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and system design through development, testing, and implementation.
The role combines application modernization, database migration, custom module development, and ongoing system enhancements.
You will work with Java, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, JSP, JavaScript, and other technologies within an established enterprise environment.
Collaboration with distributed technical teams and software development partners will be central to delivering reliable and compliant solutions.
You will also contribute to software quality assurance, documentation, testing, and database administration support.
The position is remote, with occasional travel to Carlsbad, New Mexico, for face-to-face technical meetings up to twice per year.
