About Position:
We are seeking a seasoned Latex InDesign Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable publishing and content automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in LaTeX, Adobe InDesign, scripting, and publication workflows, along with experience building robust solutions for content creation, document generation, formatting, and publishing automation. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, publishing, content, and product teams to design highly scalable and maintainable applications that automate publication processes while ensuring quality, consistency, and operational efficiency. The position requires a strong focus on software engineering best practices including test-driven development, automation, scalability, resilience, and observability.

What You'll Do:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable publication and content processing applications.
Develop automation solutions using LaTeX and Adobe InDesign technologies.
Build and maintain document generation, formatting, and publishing workflows.
Create and enhance scripts using the InDesign Object Model to automate publishing activities.
Develop and integrate InDesign plug-ins to extend platform capabilities.
Design solutions that support scalability, modularity, resilience, observability, and maintainability.
Follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and implement automated testing frameworks.
Collaborate with product teams, publication specialists, and engineering teams to understand business requirements.
Develop reusable components and frameworks for publishing automation.
Troubleshoot and resolve document processing, formatting, and workflow-related issues.
Optimize publishing workflows to improve performance, efficiency, and reliability.
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and development guidelines.
Ensure publishing applications meet quality, performance, and reliability standards.
Support production deployments, ongoing maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive adoption of engineering best practices across development teams.
Expertise You'll Bring:
5-10 years of experience in software development, publishing technology, or content automation.
Strong hands-on experience with LaTeX document processing and automation.
Extensive experience working with Adobe InDesign and publication workflows.
Expertise in scripting using the InDesign Object Model.
Hands-on experience developing, customizing, and maintaining InDesign plug-ins.
Strong understanding of publication lifecycle management and content production processes.
Experience designing scalable and maintainable software solutions.
Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing practices.
Understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
Experience building automation frameworks and workflow orchestration solutions.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to optimize content processing and document generation workflows.
Experience working in Agile software development environments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams.
