Electrical Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to support the delivery of large-scale hyperscale data center projects across the Northern Virginia region. This is a remote position, with occasional travel to project sites as required.
You will play a key role in developing accurate, competitive, and detailed electrical estimates for mission-critical infrastructure, supporting some of the largest and most complex data center builds in the world.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed electrical estimates for hyperscale data center projects (greenfield and retrofit)
Analyse drawings, specifications, and design documents to develop accurate cost models
Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to validate scope and pricing
Develop material take-offs, labour estimates, and productivity assumptions for complex electrical systems
Support bid strategies and commercial proposals for large-scale projects
Engage with subcontractors and vendors to obtain and evaluate pricing
Identify risk, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities during preconstruction
Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes, tools, and benchmarks
Support handover to project delivery teams post-award to ensure alignment of estimate and execution
Required Experience
5–10+ years’ experience in electrical estimating or preconstruction
Experience working on large-scale electrical systems (MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, etc.)
Proven ability to estimate complex, multi-million or billion-dollar projects
Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field execution
Experience working with general contractors, EPC firms, or data center developers
Familiarity with estimating tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Accubid, ConEst, or similar)
