Role Description
An Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, testing, commissioning, maintaining, and improving electrical systems and equipment while ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design electrical systems, layouts, drawings, and technical specifications.
Perform electrical calculations, load analysis, and equipment selection.
Coordinate electrical works with civil, mechanical, and MEP teams.
Conduct site inspections, testing, commissioning, and technical assessments.
Troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, and installation issues.
Work with power distribution, lighting, cabling, switchgear, transformers, and control systems.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, clients, and project teams.
Review technical submissions, shop drawings, materials, and specifications.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project requirements.
Monitor installation quality, progress, materials, and project schedules.
Prepare technical reports, testing records, and commissioning documentation.
Support maintenance, upgrades, modifications, and system improvements.
Identify technical risks and develop effective engineering solutions.
Support energy-efficient and cost-effective electrical designs.
Maintain accurate engineering documents, drawings, and project records.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Relevant experience in electrical engineering, construction, MEP, manufacturing, or facilities.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, wiring, lighting, and controls.
Experience in electrical installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, Revit MEP, or similar engineering software.
Knowledge of IEC, BS, UAE, or relevant electrical standards.
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical documentation.
UAE/GCC engineering experience is advantageous.
