Position Overview
The Product Owner – Sales Order Management is responsible for supporting the delivery, enhancement, and operational success of digital products that enable Sales Order Management processes. This role partners with business process owners, IT teams, business stakeholders, and end users to translate business needs into actionable requirements and support the successful delivery of digital solutions.
This position focuses on product execution, backlog management, requirements definition, testing coordination, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement while working closely with senior product leadership to enable strategic business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain product backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery priorities.
• Gather, document, and analyze business requirements, business processes, and functional specifications.
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions with business stakeholders, process owners, and technology teams.
• Collaborate with development teams, architects, business analysts, and quality assurance teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and business validation activities.
• Support release planning, deployment activities, training readiness, and change management efforts.
• Monitor enhancement requests, production issues, risks, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
• Support digital solutions across Sales Order Management, Dealer Ordering, Transportation, Trade Management, Billing, SAP SD, Salesforce, and related enterprise platforms.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and operational improvements.
• Develop stakeholder communications, status reports, product documentation, process flows, and training materials.
• Assist in production support activities and collaborate with support teams to meet service level commitments.
• Partner with business process owners and senior product leaders to support roadmap execution and delivery objectives.
Requirements
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Order Management, Supply Chain, or Digital Product Delivery (3+ years with a Master's degree).
Top Skills
• Experience supporting enterprise applications such as SAP SD, Salesforce, Order Management, or related business platforms.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies, backlog management, and requirements development.
• Strong business analysis, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities.
Additional Technical Skills (Required)
• Knowledge of Sales Order Management, Order-to-Cash (OTC), or Modern Order Management processes.
• Experience with Sales Order Management in Salesforce Cloud.
Additional Technical Skills (Desired)
• Experience with Dealer Ordering, Azure DevOps, SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, and enterprise integration initiatives.
Soft Skills (Required)
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Soft Skills (Desired)
• Experience supporting cross-functional global teams.
• Strong understanding of testing, release management, production support, and continuous improvement practices.
