Role Description The Principal Software Architect at SnazzyHR is a full-time, remote role responsible for defining the technical vision and architectural roadmap of our HR and recruiting platform. This role involves designing scalable, secure, and maintainable systems, guiding key architectural decisions, and ensuring alignment with product and business goals. Day-to-day activities include collaborating with engineering and product teams, reviewing and improving system designs, and establishing standards for code quality, performance, and reliability. The Principal Software Architect will mentor developers, conduct architecture and design reviews, and evaluate new technologies and patterns to keep the platform modern and efficient. This role also contributes to long-term technical strategy, documentation of architecture, and cross-team communication to support consistent implementation.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Software Architecture and Software Design, including the ability to define and communicate system-level designs and technical roadmaps.
Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming, with proficiency in at least one modern programming language and familiarity with cloud-native development.
Deep understanding of Design Patterns and best practices for building scalable, secure, and maintainable distributed systems.
Experience leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and driving architectural decisions in a fast-paced product environment.
Background working with SaaS platforms, microservices, APIs, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in HRTech, recruiting platforms, or workflow-driven enterprise applications is a plus.
