Educational Qualification
MBA / CA / CWA / CFA or any other relevant post-graduate qualification.
Relevant experience in Project Appraisal and Financial Modeling.
Job Overview
The candidate will be responsible for evaluating companies and projects from financial, commercial, and risk perspectives. The role will involve project appraisal, financial modeling, preparation of appraisal reports, financial analysis, risk assessment, and providing analytical inputs to support project evaluation and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Appraisal
Analyse companies/projects based on financial statements, DPRs, business plans and other relevant documents.
Prepare detailed Project Appraisal Reports covering financial and commercial viability.
Evaluate project assumptions, revenue projections, costs, funding requirements and projected cash flows.
Assess project profitability, repayment capacity and overall financial feasibility.
Present appraisal findings and analytical observations to relevant stakeholders.
2. Financial Modeling
Develop and maintain detailed financial models for projects and companies.
Prepare projections for revenue, expenses, profitability and cash flows.
Evaluate financial viability, returns and funding requirements.
Conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis based on key business and financial assumptions.
Analyse the impact of different assumptions on project outcomes.
3. Financial Analysis
Analyse balance sheets, profit & loss statements, cash flow statements and other financial information.
Evaluate key financial ratios and performance indicators.
Review historical and projected financial performance.
Identify financial strengths, weaknesses and areas requiring further evaluation.
4. Risk Assessment
Identify financial, commercial, operational and project-related risks.
Assess the potential impact of identified risks on project viability.
Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.
Conduct sensitivity analysis and stress testing wherever required.
Desired Candidate Profile
Strong analytical and financial assessment capabilities.
Hands-on experience in Project Appraisal and Financial Modeling.
Good understanding of financial statements, DPRs and project feasibility.
Strong knowledge of financial analysis and cash flow assessment.
Proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling.
Ability to interpret complex financial and business information.
Strong report writing and presentation skills.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
