Position: Sr Solution Engineer MDMS
Experience: 7+ years
Annual Salary Budget: 20 LPA
Shift Timing: CST time zone
Mode of Work: Remote from (Hyderabad, Bangalore, OR Pune) - Role will be remote as long as the shift is CST hours, as soon as it changes to general shift , it will be work from office (Hyd, Bangalore, Pune)
Must have skills: EnergyIP (Gridscale X) + Java + Oracle (Java/Oracle) + Linux + Kafka + Utility integrations + L2/L3 support.
Job Summary:
The EnergyIP System Engineer provides technical expertise to project, operations, integration, and product teams to ensure EnergyIP MDM solutions are designed, implemented, integrated, and supported in accordance with industry and MDM best practices.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise for EnergyIP MDM implementation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and production support.
Identify and evaluate industry innovations and best practices in the MDM and utility technology space.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of EnergyIP components including SAP, DTS, Activity Gateway, LVOMS, Framing, UAA, Gateway Services, and MultiSpeak adapters.
Design, support, and troubleshoot integrations between EnergyIP and IT/OT, AMI, CIS/Billing, OMS, SAP, HES, and other enterprise systems.
Analyze EnergyIP application logs, transactions, workflows, data errors, and system behavior to perform root-cause analysis.
Provide technical guidance on EnergyIP configurations, components, customizations, and solution design.
Lead technical workshops and translate business/functional requirements into technical designs and integration solutions.
Prepare technical specifications, configuration documents, interface specifications, GAP analysis, workflow/sequence diagrams, and operational documentation.
Support EnergyIP customizations, enhancements, deployments, upgrades, patches, and release activities.
Design and execute unit, integration, regression, functional, performance, and non-functional testing.
Provide technical knowledge transfer, training, and operational support documentation to project and client teams.
Troubleshoot Kafka/Confluent Kafka including topics, partitions, replication, ISR, consumer groups, offsets, lag, message size, connectivity, authorization, and KRaft-related issues.
Provide working knowledge of Apache ActiveMQ, including queues, producers, consumers, message delivery, and connectivity troubleshooting.
Perform Oracle SQL/PLSQL analysis and basic-to-intermediate troubleshooting of database connectivity, sessions, locks, services, open cursors, tablespaces, and resource issues.
Administer and troubleshoot RHEL/Linux environments including CPU, memory, disk, processes, services, networking, ports, and application logs.
Troubleshoot Data refresh, security certificates, and upgrade related issues.
Develop and maintain monitoring and dashboards using Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, Splunk etc.
Support EnergyIP deployments and integrations across AWS/Azure cloud environments and related services.
Develop Shell/Python automation scripts, tools, and accelerators to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Provide L2/L3 production support, incident troubleshooting, RCA, performance analysis, and continuous improvement for MDM environments.
Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, developers, infrastructure, database, integration, security, business, and product teams for end-to-end solution delivery.
Requirements:
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
7+ years of experience in MDM, enterprise application engineering, utility technology, or production support.
5+ years of hands-on EnergyIP/MDM experience preferred.
Experience in electricity, gas, or water utility environments is preferred.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
Strong hands-on knowledge of EnergyIP MDM platform and its components.
Strong knowledge of Java with working knowledge of Python and Shell scripting.
Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL/PLSQL and RDBMS concepts.
Working knowledge of Kafka/Confluent Kafka, KRaft, and ActiveMQ.
Strong RHEL/Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
Working knowledge of REST APIs, web services, and enterprise integration patterns.
Working knowledge of security certificate.
Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Kibana, and/or Elasticsearch.
Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure is preferred.
Good understanding of enterprise architecture, design principles, integration patterns, scalability, high availability, and system troubleshooting.
Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Git, Harness, Terraform, or CloudFormation is an advantage.
