Role Description
This is a remote, contract role for a Full-Stack Software Engineer specializing in React, Node.js, and Databricks. The engineer will design, develop, and maintain web applications across the front end and back end, building responsive user interfaces in React and scalable APIs and services in Node.js. Day-to-day work includes integrating with Databricks-based data pipelines and platforms, collaborating with data engineers and AI practitioners to deliver production-grade features, and optimizing performance and reliability in cloud environments. The role also involves writing clean, maintainable code, participating in code reviews, contributing to architecture discussions, and ensuring secure, high-quality software delivery aligned with project timelines.
Qualifications
Strong Full-Stack Development skills, including experience in Software Development and building end-to-end web applications. Overall 3 to 5 years of relevant FSD experience
Front-End Development skills with React, including proficiency in Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for responsive, accessible user interfaces.
Back-End Web Development skills using Node.js, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration with data platforms such as Databricks. Also building AI agents on Databricks
Experience working with modern cloud ecosystems (e.g., AWS) and data engineering tools, preferably Databricks.
Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to work independently in a remote, contract setting, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly in English.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in AI, data-intensive, or enterprise systems is a plus.
