Site Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Site Engineer role based in Tiruvallur. The Site Engineer will oversee daily construction activities, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with civil and structural engineers, supervising site teams, monitoring progress against project plans, and supporting adherence to regulatory and safety requirements. The role also involves conducting inspections, reporting site issues, collaborating with project managers and contractors, and maintaining clear documentation of site activities and outcomes.
Qualifications
Ability to work effectively in an on-site environment, coordinating day-to-day site operations and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication skills for interacting with engineers, contractors, clients, and internal stakeholders, and for preparing clear reports and documentation.
Experience in quality control, including monitoring construction standards, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices related to building design, load-bearing elements, and material specifications.
Background as a civil engineer or degree in Civil Engineering or related field, with familiarity in site management and construction processes.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications; basic knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with construction-related software tools and MS Office; prior work on software-enabled infrastructure projects is an advantage.
