About the Opportunity:
The SENIOR ENGINEERING MANAGER, DATA PLATFORM leads the Data Team responsible for the collection, modeling, governance, and delivery of data. This role shapes the technical architecture and team culture while managing the development of data products and platforms. The position plays a critical role in expanding data capabilities, improving analytics platforms, and ensuring compliance within a regulated fintech environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead hiring, onboarding, and career development for Data Platform and Data Analytics teams.
Define technical direction and engineering standards for data pipelines, warehousing, and analytics tools.
Manage team roadmap, prioritization, and delivery aligned with business objectives.
Own architecture and reliability of data platform components including ingestion, ETL/ELT, orchestration, storage, and serving.
Implement data governance, access control, and compliant handling of sensitive data.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate analytics requirements into scalable data models and tooling.
Oversee dashboards, metrics, and semantic models to ensure data quality and a trusted single source of truth.
Requirements:
Minimum 8 years in data engineering or related fields, including 5 years managing engineers or analysts.
Experience managing end-to-end data platforms: pipelines, warehousing, orchestration, and governance.
Proficiency with cloud data warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift), cloud infrastructure (AWS, Terraform), and streaming tools (Kafka, DMS, Flink).
Proven track record in building and scaling data teams, including hiring and mentoring.
Experience operating within regulated environments and managing stakeholder relationships.
Strong systems thinking to balance short-term delivery and long-term platform health.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
