Role Description The Vice President of IT Operations is a part-time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This role oversees day-to-day IT operations, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient information technology services across the organization. The Vice President leads IT service management activities, manages vendor and stakeholder relationships, and drives process improvements in infrastructure, applications, and support functions. Responsibilities include developing and executing IT operational strategies, aligning technology initiatives with business goals, managing budgets and risk, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and policies. The role also involves mentoring IT teams, setting performance metrics, and supporting digital transformation and innovation initiatives.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in IT Operations and IT Service Management to oversee daily services, infrastructure, and support processes.
Candidates should possess proven IT Management and Information Technology expertise to lead teams, manage systems, and ensure reliable technology environments.
Candidates should possess Strategic Planning skills to align IT initiatives with business objectives and guide long-term technology roadmaps.
Extensive experience in senior IT leadership roles, ideally in complex or multi-site organizations.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, vendor contracts, and technology risk, including cybersecurity and compliance.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with a focus on service quality and operational excellence.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across executive and cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, PMP) are an advantage.
