About Our Client:
The organization operates in the precision medicine sector, addressing the challenges of managing complex financial processes within client portfolios. It supports financial management through detailed project accounting, reporting, and month-end close activities, aiming to ensure accurate and timely financial information for projects and clients.
About the Opportunity:
The CLIENT FINANCE ANALYST I role involves supporting financial management for client projects by handling project accounting tasks, client invoicing, and financial tracking. This position contributes to maintaining accurate financial records, assisting in budgeting and audits, and ensuring proper revenue recognition, thereby supporting the organization's financial integrity and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Assist with monthly project accounting including note-taking and project updates
Set up new projects in time and expense systems and verify documentation
Update project files for change orders, budgets, and financial trackers
Book intercompany transactions and update shared financial trackers
Prepare and review hours and expenses for client projects
Prepare client invoicing and follow up on outstanding payments
Assist with monthly client accruals preparation
Track project costs against contracted amounts
Monitor new employee and subcontractor hours and expenses compared to forecasts
Update monthly general ledger account reconciliations and collaborate with SG&A team
Support ad hoc projects including annual budget preparation
Assist in gathering supporting documents for annual audit
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in accounting, finance, or business
0-2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Preferred experience in agency or professional services, month-end close, revenue recognition, project accounting, and client-facing roles
Strong client service skills and communication abilities
Deadline-oriented with good time management and organizational skills
Critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage large volumes of information with detail and accountability
Ethical handling of confidential information
Self-motivated with willingness to learn and assist team members
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Estimated salary range $50,000 to $62,000 USD
Eligible for discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation
