About the Opportunity:
The RETAIL PRODUCTION ASSISTANT supports top-producing Retail Mortgage Loan Originators by managing the loan origination process. This role ensures smooth communication among borrowers, realtors, and internal teams, maintaining file accuracy and compliance. It is essential for driving timely loan closings and enhancing client experience.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute marketing strategies to retain clients and generate new business.
Analyze credit reports and income/asset documentation to assist in loan structuring.
Manage loan pipeline, including running Desktop Underwriter and clearing underwriting conditions.
Serve as primary contact for borrowers and realtors, providing status updates.
Handle initial applications, schedule appointments, and manage loan originator calendars.
Track document requests and review files promptly to identify issues before underwriting.
Collaborate with loan originators and underwriters to resolve file and documentation problems.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines to keep files audit-ready.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years professional office experience, with at least 1 year in mortgage or banking.
Ability to manage client relationships and execute marketing initiatives for retention and growth.
Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA guidelines.
Experience with Encompass LOS or similar software and proficiency in Google Workspace.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume pipeline.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
