Role Description The Branch Manager role at Star Health and Allied Insurance Co. Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Siliguri. The Branch Manager will oversee branch operations, lead and mentor the branch team, and ensure achievement of sales, profitability, and growth targets for health insurance products. Daily responsibilities include managing customer service quality, monitoring policy issuance and claims coordination, ensuring regulatory and company compliance, and driving effective execution of sales and marketing activities. The role also involves building and maintaining relationships with agents, corporate clients, banks, and other partners, as well as identifying local market opportunities and implementing strategies to expand the branch’s portfolio. The Branch Manager will be responsible for reporting branch performance, optimizing operational processes, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance work culture.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to motivate, guide, and develop branch staff.
Candidates should possess solid sales and business development capabilities, with experience in meeting targets, managing agent networks, and expanding customer portfolios.
Candidates should possess customer service and relationship management skills, ensuring high-quality support and long-term client and partner engagement.
Candidates should possess operational and administrative skills, including branch operations oversight, documentation accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and company policies.
Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret performance data, address operational issues, and improve branch efficiency.
Relevant experience in insurance, banking, financial services, or related sectors is highly beneficial.
A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, management, or a related field is preferred.
Strong communication skills in English and local languages, and familiarity with digital tools and insurance technology platforms, will be advantageous.
