Role Description The Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering Assistant Professor role is a full-time, on-site position based at Indore Institute of Science and Technology in Indore. The role involves designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in mechanical and mechatronics engineering, including lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions. The Assistant Professor will develop curricula and course materials, supervise student projects, guide research activities, and support students through mentoring and academic advising. Responsibilities also include conducting research and publishing in relevant domains, participating in departmental and institutional committees, and engaging in industry collaboration and outreach. The role requires active involvement in academic events, continuous improvement of teaching methods, and contribution to the institute’s vision of holistic and employability-focused education.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering, with the ability to teach core and advanced subjects.
Relevant skills in Maintenance and Inspection to support practical training, laboratories, and project supervision.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and related engineering software for teaching design and simulation-focused courses.
Knowledge of Automotive systems and applications to guide industry-oriented projects and electives.
Master’s degree (M.E./M.Tech) or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related field.
Prior teaching, academic, or research experience in engineering education, with a record of publications or projects an advantage.
Strong communication, classroom management, and mentoring skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
