Role Description The Video Editor role at The Digitalyst is a full-time, on-site / hybrid position based in Ahmedabad. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing raw footage into polished videos for digital campaigns, social media, websites, and other marketing channels. Daily tasks include assembling and trimming footage, adding transitions, effects, and graphics, and ensuring consistent colour grading and sound quality. The role involves collaborating closely with creative, design, and marketing teams to interpret briefs, maintain brand guidelines, and deliver video content that supports client objectives. The Video Editor will also help organise media assets, manage project timelines, and stay current with industry trends and editing best practices.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing.
Candidates should possess skills in Video Colour Grading for visual consistency and impact.
Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics for creating engaging visual elements.
Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve).
Good understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition for digital and social media formats.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Relevant education or formal training in film, media, design, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience is also valued.
Strong attention to detail, creativity, and willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and techniques.
