Role Description The Automotive Designer will work full time on-site in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area, contributing to the design and development of automotive interior and exterior components. Responsibilities include creating concept sketches, developing 3D CAD models, preparing detailed engineering drawings, and collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance with industry standards. The role involves refining designs based on feedback, supporting DFM/DFA considerations, and participating in design reviews to ensure product quality and functionality. The Automotive Designer will also assist in integrating design aesthetics with performance requirements and may support training and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Automotive Design and Automotive engineering fundamentals.
Candidates should possess skills in Industrial Design and Product Design, with an emphasis on user-centered and manufacturable solutions.
Candidates should possess advanced Sketching abilities for concept development and visual communication.
Candidates should be proficient in 3D CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX) and capable of creating detailed 2D drawings and models.
Candidates should have knowledge of DFM/DFA, GD&T, and basic tooling feasibility for plastic components.
Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills in cross-functional environments.
A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field is preferred; relevant project or industry experience is highly valued.
