Professor - Computer Science - Amity University HYD

Role Description The Professor – Computer Science position at Amity University Hyderabad is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. The Professor will design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate computer science courses, ensuring syllabi are current, research-informed, and aligned with industry requirements. Typical responsibilities include lecturing, leading lab sessions, mentoring students, supervising projects and theses, and assessing student performance through exams and assignments. The role involves conducting and publishing scholarly research, securing research funding where possible, and contributing to departmental initiatives and academic committees. The Professor is also expected to engage with industry partners, participate in curriculum development, and support outreach and academic events that enhance the university’s academic reputation.
Eligibility & Experience
Doctoral Qualification: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline from a premier/reputed academic institution will be preferred.
Academic & Teaching Experience: Minimum 12–15 years of post-Ph.D. full-time teaching/research experience at a reputed university or higher-education institution, with demonstrated expertise in teaching, student mentoring, and academic development.
Research Excellence: Strong and consistent research track record, including publications in reputed Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals and international conferences, along with a demonstrable research impact through citations and H-index.
Research & Innovation: Experience in securing research grants, leading funded projects, publishing patents, technology development, consultancy, or interdisciplinary research will be highly valued.
Industry & Global Engagement: Demonstrated experience in industry collaboration, academic-industry projects, international collaborations, consultancy, or research partnerships will be an advantage.
Academic Leadership: Experience in leading academic/research initiatives, mentoring research scholars, supervising Ph.D. students, curriculum development, or institutional academic responsibilities will be preferred.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication, presentation, mentoring, classroom management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to contribute to a collaborative, research-driven, and globally oriented academic environment.
