Security Architect

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Architect to help design, implement, and evolve enterprise-scale security solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the organization's security architecture, driving innovation, and helping protect critical systems, applications, and data from emerging cyber threats.
Pay rate: $180-$210K with 10% bonus. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and communication of a strategic vision for enterprise security architecture, ensuring alignment between security initiatives and business objectives.
Design and implement comprehensive security architectures covering network security, application security, data protection, identity and access management, and infrastructure security.
Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks while developing strategies that strengthen the organization's overall security posture.
Evaluate, recommend, and implement advanced security technologies and solutions across the enterprise.
Collaborate closely with infrastructure, engineering, and IT teams to integrate security controls into existing and new systems.
Leverage automation across the security technology stack to improve efficiency, consistency, and overall effectiveness.
Establish and promote best practices across all areas of Identity and Access Management (IAM).
Serve as a trusted advisor and senior technical leader, educating stakeholders and influencing security-focused decision-making across the organization.
Foster a collaborative team environment through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security, with a strong emphasis on security architecture.
Extensive experience engineering and securing on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based environments.
Deep knowledge of:
Network security
Identity and access management
Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
Device trust solutions
Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)
Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
Vulnerability management
Security automation strategies
Experience designing scalable, resilient, and future-ready security solutions utilizing defense-in-depth principles.
Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive security-related initiatives across complex organizations.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud security architecture and securing cloud-native environments.
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and integrating security into the software development lifecycle.
Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms and solutions.
Familiarity with data privacy regulations and industry best practices for data protection and governance.
Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, TOGAF, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Security Specialty, or similar certifications are a plus.
