Job Purpose
To achieve the production target monthly and annually as per the P&B.
To co-ordinate different process activities
Job Context & Major Challenges
To maintain the smooth production flow as per target planned.
To achieve and maintain the maximum utilization of hot and cold mills.
To achieve maximum productivity of finishing line machine centers by providing sufficient job and co-ordinating different maintenance activities.
To achieve optimum utilization of permanent members and contract persons.
To reduce overtime by adjusting extra manpower to suitable machine center.
To facilitate operating members to take training on suitable machine centers.

KRA1 Accountability
PRODUCTION VOLUME Achieve planned production targets & volumes.(T/month).
Ensure the health of equipments through adherence to schedule cleaning and preventive maintenance.
Maintain the process control of the plant for better productivity and raw material efficiencies.
KRA2 PRODUCT QUALITY Address customer complaints related to quality and packaging.
Maintain product quality as per customers requirements
KRA3 DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES Involvement in product development activities by giving priorities to process further.
Implement the recommendations of the technical audits carried out by ALCAN or any
third party.
KRA4 ISO AND OHSAS SYSTEM UPKEEP To maintain all the documents of ISO 9000-2000, ISO-14000, OHSAS-18000 for production department
To amend necessary changes in documents, procedure and others if required.
Close and take corrective action for all the NCRs during external or internal audits
KRA5 ENERGY CONSERVATION ACTIVITIES Shutting of auxiliaries of Rolling mill for break downs greater than 30 mins.
To implement in-house developments for energy saving activities
Switching off lights in day.
KRA6 SAFETY Monitor and eliminate the unsafe acts and conditions for zero accidents and incidents in the Dept.
Carry out PPE audit within the department.
Making dangerous incidence report happened or likely to be happened in sheet mill
KRA7 TRAINING AND DISCIPLINE Prepare and implement annual skill development training class for operatives
Initiate disciplinary actions against operatives as and when required.
Maintain the administration of the production department and control the overtime below the target
KRA8 WCM ACTIVITY To flow the culture of WCM in the department
To lead the Work Environment subcommittee team
