Head Taxation ( Direct / Indirect)

Job Purpose : Drive profitability and tax compliance of the organization by effectively managing taxation operations and assist tax structuring during land acquisition deals to ensure tax saving and mitigate legal taxation liabilities
Job context: The role is responsible for managing both direct and indirect taxation related matters, timely filing of taxes and returns and ensure regulatory compliances to mitigate potential legal risks. The role is also responsible to drive consolidation from a taxation perspective and interacting with external tax consultants in relation to tax planning and structuring of the deals. The key ask of the role is to drive profitability scrutinizing national and local tax rules and regulations for effective property tax planning.
Job Description
Formulate annual tax planning and structuring strategies to minimise effective taxes to be paid
Manage tax operations to ensure timely filing of tax returns and accurate tax accounting
Ensure compliance to applicable tax laws and regulations to mitigate potential legal risks
Prepare MIS reports and manage credit registers and assessment related data for timely reporting and effective decision making
Analyse project scope and commercials during technical due diligence phase to drive profitability by minimizing taxes
Keep abreast of latest national and regional taxation rules and regulations for driving effective tax planning and compliance
