Civil Engineering Technician - Mission Critical (REMOTE)

2. About the Opportunity:
The Civil Engineering Technician - Mission Critical supports Mission Critical Data Center projects within the Community Development Group. The role contributes to the development and delivery of private civil site designs, construction plans, and related documentation for complex projects serving major commercial clients. This position plays a key part in ensuring efficient project execution across diverse geographic regions, working closely with engineering teams to meet design and operational needs. There is potential for this position to be remote.
3. Responsibilities:
Support engineering projects with engineers, project managers, and design team members
Produce high-quality drafting of engineering drawings and exhibits
Maintain and develop drafting standards, mentor staff, and implement CADD and design software technologies
Draft civil and related discipline plans using Autodesk Civil 3D
Perform site grading analysis and calculations; prepare street and utility plans, profiles, project details, and quantity takeoffs
Work independently and collaboratively to meet project timelines and requirements
Assist civil engineers with site design, utility design, grading, and plan production
Manage deadlines and prioritize multiple projects as needed
Develop designs through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and visual formats
Utilize technology to create three-dimensional models of civil systems
Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design compatibility
4. Requirements:
Experience as a Civil Engineering Technologist or Technician
Proficiency with AutoDesk Civil 3D and related design software
Ability to perform site grading analysis and prepare detailed civil engineering plans
Strong drafting skills and familiarity with CADD standards
Capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Effective collaboration skills with engineering and project teams
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Pay ranges comply with applicable pay transparency laws and vary based on education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Certain roles may be bonus eligible. Part-time compensation is pro-rated based on hours worked.
